Nellosana elegantula
W. Eugene HallIntroduction
This large (0.70-0.80 mm) nanoselline is reddish-yellow in color, and the body rather elongated in form (Johnson, 1982).
The presence of a longitudinal carina at the base of the mesosternal process near the collar helps to distinguish this species from other members of the genus.
It occurs in New Zealand (Bay of Plenty). The species is known to inhabit bracket fungi and rotten, decayed wood.
